Fusion technology is the art of combining Gold and Silver to form two distinct layers of metals. In the case of the Fusion Inside, the 14K gold makes up one-quarter of the tube on the headjoint, body and foot (inside layer), and a 95% Sterling Silver/5% Platinum alloy makes up the other three-quarters of the tube (outside layer). The result is a sound that has the best of both Gold and Silver, consisting of a wide range of tonal colours that can be produced with incredible flexibility and with a touch of Platinum’s projection and resonance. This is not to be confused with Plating which usually coats the material underneath with a much thinner layer of precious metal.
