Emma obtained a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours from the Australian National University, under the tutelage of Dr Sally Walker. She is currently completing a Master of Music Studies (Performance) at the Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney with Emma Sholl. Emma has also participated in several masterclasses in Australia and Germany under internationally renowned pedagogues and performers such as Andrea Lieberknecht, Denis Bouriakov, Michael Cox, and Stephanie Winker. 

Emma has enjoyed performing in a range of orchestra, wind, and chamber ensembles; some highlights include being a member of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra Kingsland Collective, performing Stravinsky's Petrushka as Principal Flute with the Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra under conductor Fabian Russell, and, most recently, touring Japan and South Korea as Principal Piccolo with the Sydney Conservatorium Wind Symphony. 

In addition to her passion for performance, Emma is a certified BodyMinded Practitioner (Alexander Technique). She was also selected to participate in the prestigious Australian Youth Orchestra Orchestral Management Program, after which she successfully secured an AYO Arts Administration Fellowship with Opera Australia (Sydney).
