What We Like
The Solexa S-201 and S-301 are unique instruments that stand out in the Intermediate category, due to their high quality, fully pinless mechanism that mimics a lot of the attributes often found on flutes more than double their price. Once setup, the mechanism stays in adjustment longer, feels smoother and offers more reliability than many other comparable instruments. Every few years, we come across a flute that pushes the envelope and disrupts their respective market segments. These flutes could very well have achieved that!
SOLEXA
Known for innovative solutions, we have a no-nonsense approach to mechanical improvement. While many of the modifications are hard to detect to the naked eye, flutists will love the familiarity of our instruments and at the same time, notice the ease in handling. That is a result of the ergonomic consideration and optimised mechanical efficiency we have developed.
We also kept in mind the durability and serviceability when designing the Solexa flute. For example, finding a quality replacement pad should be easy because we chose the most common sizes on all of our parts. During regular services and/or emergencies, this thoughtfulness will be invaluable.

Material
All tubing used on Solexa instruments have been selected with extreme attention to ensure exact dimensions. Our sterling silver guarantee maximum silver content. All the rods adopt high strength and high precision stainless steel with calculated treatment. Not to be left out, our pivot and adjustment screws are produced by the most advanced CNC equipment.
Tubing
Even the preliminary steps of preparing the tube need great care. The result is a more even and resonant instrument.
Key Cups
All keys and cups are made by advanced computerised lathes and sculpting equipment to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Key Arms
To ensure optimal strength and durability, minimal heat and work are done to prepare the key arms.
Assembly
Our experienced technicians carefully put these parts together. Then they go through stringent tests and adjustments. Once finished, every Solexa flute shines in any player's hands.
